Housed in a high-rise in 24-hour Koreatown, the LINE LA’s Tinseltown cred stacks up. Local designer Sean Knibb kitted out the 380 stripped-down rooms with raw concrete walls and floor-to-ceiling windows that look out at the Hollywood Hills, then furnished the spaces with pieces from his Venice Beach studio. The hotel's owner, Sydell Group, has recently partnered with award-winning Michelin chef, Josiah Citrin to take over food & beverage offerings. Citrin will bring two distinctive dining experiences to LINE LA - one will be a restaurant located next to the pool deck, and the second will be in the lobby. The concepts will be seasonally driven, with an emphasis on California ingredients, and a nod to Koreatown. The after-hours crowd floods Break Room 86, nightlife gurus—and twin brothers—Mark and Jonnie Houston’s 1980s-inspired karaoke bar, for one of L.A.’s most venerable pastimes. Also on the premises: Poketo, a well-regarded indie boutique from husband-and-wife duo Ted Vadakan and Angie Myung, who’ve gained a cult following for their limited-edition vinyl artist wallets.
