John Nash, the architect who designed Buckingham Palace, was the brains behind the Regency exterior, while Kit Kemp did the interiors with her trademark bold color schemes and hand-picked antique furniture that mixes modern and classic.

Housed in the former American Express London headquarters, Haymarket Hotel is ideally situated in the center of the Theatre District action. John Nash, the architect who designed Buckingham Palace, was the brains behind the Regency exterior, while Kit Kemp did the interiors with her trademark bold color schemes and hand-picked antique furniture that mixes modern and classic. Guests arrive through a Georgian entrance to the lobby, which is appointed with marigold and oak furniture, a stainless-steel Tony Cragg sculpture, and paintings by British artist John Virtue. In addition to the spacious rooms and suites with granite and oak bathrooms, a four-floor private townhouse with cast-iron bathtubs, a drawing room, and its own discreet entrance is on site. The star of the hotel is the 60-foot indoor pool that is illuminated by artist Martin Richmann’s color-changing light installation. The canine-themed bistro, Brumus Bar and Restaurant, serves updated English staples like lamb rump and beer-battered fish and chips. The Soholistic Gym and Beauty spa specializes in anti-aging and aromatherapy treatments. Just outside the the door lie some of London’s best attractions: the Theatre Royal Haymarket, National Gallery, and Mayfair’s luxury boutiques.
