Fresh and contemporary on a quiet cobblestone SoHo street.

Firmdale’'s only stateside property is located on a quiet cobblestone street in New York City's SoHo. For the Crosby Street Hotel, designer Kit Kemp chose fabrics and materials that create a “fresh contemporary style” in each of the 86 guest rooms across the hotel’s 11 floors.  Starting from the ground up: the drawing room is filled with color and patchwork sofas and features a woodburning fireplace and Vanessa Bell artwork; it opens onto a grand courtyard. The Crosby Bar, with its oak floor and pewter countertops, is headed by chef Anthony Paris and serves modern American dishes. Fresh vegetables are sourced from the rooftop kitchen garden, and Araucana chickens produce pale-blue eggs at the hotel's very own chicken coop. In the rooms,  warehouse-style floor-to-ceiling windows let in light and allow guests to look out at the city. Oversize headboards and textured wallcoverings appear in every room. Oak cabinets and granite countertops in the bathrooms are accompanied by large walk-in showers. Guests can reserve the private screening room, with 99 Poltrona Frau seats, for in-house entertainment, or venture out to explore the area's luxury shopping, restaurants, and galleries.
